3 minutes is about 450 spoken words: most voice messages, with room to spare. 10 is about 1,500: a project update, a handover, a brief.

Is Free really free?
Yes. As many messages as you like, up to 3 minutes each, with one-tap answers and voice replies. No card, no trial, nothing that runs out.
What happens at 3 minutes?
A countdown shows for the last 15 seconds. At 3:00 the recording stops and your message goes out as usual, with everything you said. On Pro, messages run to 10 minutes.
What do the people I send to need?
Nothing. They open the link in any browser, with no app and no account. They can answer in a tap or reply by voice, free.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes, from Manage Pro in your account menu. Pro carries on until the end of the period you’ve paid for, then you’re back on Free. Everything you’ve sent stays as it is.
Can I get a refund?
Yes. If Pro isn’t for you, email hello@inaword.ai within 14 days of paying and we’ll refund that payment in full.
What currency, and is tax included?
Prices are in US dollars and include any VAT or sales tax. Checkout may show the amount in your own currency. Payments are handled by Stripe, through Link, and show on your statement as LINK.COM* IN A WORD.
Does Pro work on my phone and in Chrome?
Yes. Pro is part of your account: sign in to In a Word for Chrome (and the iPhone and Android apps, when they’re out) with the same account and it’s there.
Can I get Pro for several people?
Each person has their own account and their own Pro for now. Team billing is coming: write to hello@inaword.ai if you’d like several at once.
Who can hear my messages?
Only people you share the link with. Recordings are kept privately, and what you say is never used to train AI. More on the privacy page. Privacy
